Why SOSUSK project ? 

SOSUSK is meant to face the pivotal challenge of mobilising a transnational population of European Youngsters Neither in Employment or in Education or Training (following NEETs), providing them with social and green entrepreneurship skills and competences: the purpose is to ease their match with sustainable opportunities for employment or self-employment.

The SOSUSK partnership firmly believes that, even more in the current hard times, investing in decent job creation in the green and social entrepreneurship sectors, as well as in digital education and training opportunities for the youth, will contribute to the development of more prosperous and stable societies. For this purpose, the partnership will be working on innovative learning and training opportunities willing to empower ─ in an inclusive way ─ a large network of NEETs, youth organizations, and career services. With the ultimate goal of bringing out and enhancing the European NEETs entrepreneurial talents.

Specific Objectives

The project, with its actions, outcomes and outputs, is intended to achieve the basic and fundamental objectives, in updating youth skills and competences, allowing them to engage in dialogue with various stakeholders to explore possible solutions for creating economically, socially and environmentally sustainable enterprises.

The project specific objectives are:

eLearning tools

To foster the acquisition of new competences by the NEETs through innovative online eLearning tools, especially supporting those ones that live in remote or rural areas, overcoming geographical barriers, full matching the program priority Inclusion and Diversity (and as a response to the covid-19)

SOCIAL INCLUSION

To improve the social inclusion of NEETs, through the starting up a new social enterprises, full matching the program priority Inclusion and Diversity.

digital skills and competenceS development

To improve actions aiming at enhancing digital skills and competence development on NEETS, full matching the program priority Digital Transformation

green and digital transition

To ingrain the green and digital transition in the DNA of the EU’S Youth;

entrepreneurial ideas

To support young people with key competencies needed to transform entrepreneurial ideas into start-ups with positive social, economic and environmental impact, full matching the program priority Environment and fight against climate change.

youth organizations

To equip youth organizations with innovative working tools to invest in young people’s potential and social capital.

Participants

The target group of the project is addressing to NEETs, low qualified, unemployed young people, including those with migrant background, aged 18-30 years old, youth workers, newcomers in the NGO sector, volunteers, young leaders, who have an interest in green and social entrepreneurship & local community development. The aforementioned target group will play key role of the project.

Horizontal Priorities

The SOSUSK project is interrelated to the following one horizontal priorities
and specific ERASMUS+ program:

Environment and fight against climate change, Promoting active citizenship, young people’s sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship including social enterprises and increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work. It is also in line with the following priorities Entrepreneurial learning-entrepreneurship education (related to young people).

SUSTAINABILITY

The project, like other educational projects that the partners have already implemented, is not regarded as a single opportunity independent from the other activities of each one of the organizations. Partners are involved in green and social entrepreneurship as well as they have an already established network of stakeholders (Youth Organisations, Universities, Educational Institutions, Local Authorities etc.) with which they communicate and interact regularly. The overall objective of the project will be pursued even after the its completion and its results communicated to the parties involved, as all partners believe that the added value of the implementation of the proposed outputs is extensive in the long-term.
